This dulcimer picture shows, I think, what often happens to old dulcimers: after all those years of having strings stretched across them, they tend to twist out of shape a bit. Look carefully at the top & the bottom edges. | ||

This is a copy of a medieval/Tudor style dulcimer. These pictures don't show how much smaller this one really is - the Victorian one is about 90 cm. across the longest side, this one's about 60 cm. |
